2.0 CLE (Elimination of Bias) credit applied for this program.

We all have ideas of what diversity looks like in form.  However, how do we determine when diversity is both meaningful and successful? This question reveals the age-old tension between form and substance. This CLE will examine the underlying human challenge to align form and substance.  It will reveal answers that are simple, but not necessarily easy to achieve.  Attorneys always seek to understand the underlying reasons for actions and behaviors; thus, this CLE will explore the premise that successful diversity hinges on our ability to understand and overcome basic human nature and bias.  Our goal for the session is to better recognize bias on a personal level with the hope that it will help us address bias in our communities and across the globe.
