WEBCAST | Trips and Traps: Perspectives from the Bench

Most everyone has bills, and everyday many struggle to pay them. All the while, those that lent the money out, want to get paid back. It’s a constant pull of the ying and the yang. Hennepin District Court Judge Susan Robiner and Hennepin Referee Patrick Ellis will give insight into the struggles they see in their courtrooms with debt collection matters. Additionally they will discuss tips for how to work with pro se debtors or opposing counsel, suggestions for how to present these types of cases and how recent legal changes have both helped and hurt these the area of debt collection, specifically when it comes to debt-buyer cases.
