|About the Hennepin County Bar Association|
Membership in the HCBA is the BEST way for local lawyers to:
The Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA) is the local bar serving more than 8,000 lawyers who live or work in Hennepin County -- the metropolitan area surrounding and including Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are the largest local bar association in the state; more attorneys practice in Hennepin County than anywhere else in Minnesota.
Through a vibrant partnership of volunteer leaders and staff, the HCBA actively fosters local lawyers' connection with:
The people you need to know to grow your referrals, your practice-area knowledge, and your career possibilities.
The 4th District Courts
Especially for litigators and those interested in potentially serving on the bench, the unique connection and partnership the HCBA maintains with the 4th District bench is invaluable.
As a locally-based bar association, the HCBA is working to provide new opportunities to connect local lawyers with other local leaders in the private, public, and non-profit sectors -- your current and potential clients.
Practice Management Resources
Changes in the legal profession require more and more attorneys to grow their business and practice management skills -- the HCBA is creating new programs and services to meet these needs.
Opportunities to Serve the Local Community
One of the great traditions and critical roles unique to local bar associations is to facilitate opportunities for attorneys to be of service to the local community -- HCBA's programs serve high school students, new immigrants, low-income residents, seniors, and more.
